You know how in Lost in Space there's this part where Buzz looks at fake portraits of his teammate in the futurez and Mira is President?
I know it was fake, but since then I've been wondering if she might ever try to do away with the monarchy on Tangea and have it ruled by the President of the Alliance like the other planets. Because Tangea is such a SNOT under the current system.
I dunno, it seems like something she might try to do. Maybe she even would wind up president that way, too- maybe the only way Tangea would agree would be if they had a Tangean president, forcing Mira to run for office.

^^ Hmm, that's definitely an interesting theory. I always wondered how Tangea even became part of the alliance in the first place. (It is part of the galactic alliance, right? I forget if it was mentioned in the show.) They're so caught up in their own monarchy. And like you said, they're snotty.

It's mentioned in First Missions; how Buzz came and saved their planet and all that.
I wonder... it's hard to imagine Tangeans ever fully giving up that independence... Although Mira could always take steps toward it. And they are snotty, but that snottiness seems to be lessening with each generation. King Nova makes all kinds of condescending comments about the Rangers, but he at least talks to them, and even admits that they aren't entirely incompetent. X3 Mira actually is a Ranger, and Fop (I assume they're close in age) was never rude to any of Team Lightyear.
King Nova did agree to become part of the Alliance, after all; maybe in time the monarchy would just slowly dissolve.
I'm sure Mira could become president; although, it's hard for me to imagine that. I still see her going back to Tangea, for some reason.

I know... I just somehow can't picture her as Queen, either. It seems like it'd squeeze the life out of her. :/

Squeeze the life out of her... wow, that is an interesting way to put it. Very appropriate... And, now that you say that, I can't really imagine her discussing outdated politics with the stuffy older Tangeans. ...Of course, I can't really imagine her hanging out with politicians, period. ... Maybe she'll just stay a Ranger. *GASP* Maybe she'll become the next Commander! XD

That I could see. What if King Nova just doesn't die/retire before Mira has her own heir? o-O Then she wouldn't have to do it. ...this is assuming the heir wants to do it. XD

Yeah, I definitely don't think she'd WANT to become queen. But you never know how that crazy Tangean law book was written. She might have to - like in Mira's Wedding, she had to marry Fop. And she was definitely upset about it. But I have a feeling that she'd put up more of a fight next time around. And if she did become queen, well, she could just throw that whole rulebook out the window, couldn't she?

Then Tangea would be at the opposite extreme. X3
The only rule is THERE ARE NO RULES!!!
XD I can't really imagine her abolishing every law- it'd be kinda funny, though. X3 I could definitely see her getting rid of the more obscure laws. Lol, now I'm getting curious as to what all is in Tangean law. ;D

AHAHA! XD
I'd study it. X3
...actually no, I probably wouldn't, it sounds really boring.
Hmm, how good do you think is her knowledge of Tangean law? She had to do some serious searching to find that Challenge of Worth loophole...

Oh, absolutely. XD I could see her not having any interest in any of her lessons... except maybe developing her ghosting powers and all that.
Because that is cool. :3

I see her having to learn some of the crazy princess lessons like in Cinderella 2 (which was an awful direct to DVD sequel BTW) - or from Princess Diaries. XD

Ha Ha! Princess lessons! I can just see Mira annoying the heck out of some stuffy tutor. Someone should write a fan fic about that!
As for her duty as heir to the throne, I don't really see her giving it up, but I also don't see her fully enjoying it. Mira really does care for the people of Tangea, as much as she detests most of their traditions.
I can see her really wanting to make a difference in Tangea, to lead them into a new age. Sort of like Mia with Genovea in the princess diaries.
Also, she possesses many positive qualities that probably came from some sort of royal schooling or experience. Like her sense of fairness and loyalty to wards he team members. She also carries herself with a sort of self pride. Not snotty pride, though, just confidence.
You can definitely tell that Mira's a princess, as much as she tries to hide it. But she's a princess in a positive way.
