Well, it was in the description for this thread, so I assume we are going to end up talking about it sooner or later. ;D So what happened? Did Mira's mom die? Kidnapped? Or is she there and we just haven't seen her? (You'd think she'd be there for Mira's Wedding, but you know how our beloved writers and animators seem to forget a lot of things.

I could be wrong... but I think in Planet Destroyer King Nova sadi something about seeing Mira's mother in her. And the nostalgic way he said it implied rather heavily that she is indeed dead.
Like the rest of the Disney moms.

Like the rest of the Disney moms. Oh, okay, that's a good indication. Yeah, what's up with that? Ariel, Belle, they all don't have moms.

I like to think her mom joined a motorcycle gang or something because it's DIFFERENT.
Also, Mira confronting her biker mom would be... interesting.

That is different. XD
But dead was how I always assumed it, too. :<
She was probably really spirited, and that's where Mira gets it - her rebelliousness obviously doesn't come from her father. XD Although for some reason I've always had this image of her mother as this really peaceful, regal, maternal type. I don't know why. o-o
((I'm working on a story for my Challenge that involves Mira's mother (at least discussion of her)- it makes me nervous, I've never screwed with the canon so much before.))

^^ Look forward to seeing the challenge! And I'm sure you wouldn't need to be screwing with canon too much. I think it's pretty much understood that her mother was rather spirited - like Mira.

Where else would she get it? Her father's kind of a stick in the mud!
BTW, I like the Mother-cycle gang thing! Oh, and in The Princess and the Frog, the mother didn't die. It was the father. Disney finally shook things up! Same for The Lion King.
