Not really evidence but I love how she says "XR you did it!" and the background music after he stops the centrificator thing

Yeah, that was a cute moment. She just seems to be the most understanding one throughout the whole episode. Buzz just doesn't really get it. The LGMs don't even tell him that he was only missing an air freshener. Well, you get the point ...

I know! I mean, he's clearly upset at that point... enh, they're never nice to him. :/ Not really evidence but I love how she says "XR you did it!" and the background music after he stops the centrificator thing Aw, me too. ^^ I do like the concern she shows for him, throughout the episode. Especially at Cosmo's - it just seems like it's not often on the show that they think to keep an eye on him. And then later in XL's lair, she's the one who really encourages him... You know, I think you're right, this episode is pretty good evidence! (...lol, does anyone else think of Lemony Snicket when they hear AFD? XD)

One thing that crossed my mind when watching this episode was how loyal XR is to this part that he believed was important. He was willing to risk everything just so that he could be whole again - he didn't want to be missing anything.
Just thought that was significant.

Yeah, I thought that was significant too...
Especially because he could function just fine without it. It is interesting to see how much it affects him, and he think it all feeds back into his need for approval - you're right, he doesn't want to be thought of as 'missing' or lacking anything - and even when he finds out the AFDs function, he still needs Nebula to reassure him he doesn't stink - though again I don't know what he thought he was supposed to smell like. XD
Poor guy needs srs love. :<

LOL. Yeah, what do stinky robots smell like?
But back to the AFD, it was the one thing that XL didn't have that he did - something that made him special.
And the hole where it was ripped out was located right where humans would have a heart.
See what I'm getting at?
Kinda reminds me of the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz.

Oh, yeah... o-o I always kind of thought that was mostly for visual emphasis... but you're right, I'm sure the metaphor was there. But back to the AFD, it was the one thing that XL didn't have that he did - something that made him special. You know, I always thought that was what bothered him most about it. Without it there was nothing that separated him from his psycho brother...

Yeah, it was one of the first things I thought while watching the episode. Of course, at the time I didn't know it was just a useless air freshener, but still.... What exactly was it that made XL "defective"? Faulty programming - or just the fact that he's just plain stupid. LOL.
